Branch Manager/Senior Loan Officer:

April joined the branch in 1993 and has been a branch manager since 1995. April is a licensed California Real Estate Broker #01150480 with a real estate career of spanning over 27 years. She is proficient in all types of real estate loans; specializing in FHA, conventional, jumbo and construction products.

April was awarded the 2009 REALTOR of the YEAR award from the Nevada County Association of REALTORS. She was also voted the "Best Loan Officer" in Nevada County.

April is married with two daughters. She and her husband, Larry, also are the owners of Sierra Knolls Equestrian - breeding, training and boarding Hanoverian and Irish Sport Horses. She is very active with the Nevada County Association of Realtors acting as the Chairperson for the Education Committee and the treasurer of the Nevada County Association of Realtor's Masters Club; Vice President of the South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce; a past president of Northern Mines Business and Professional Women; and the District Commissioner for Northern Mines Pony Club. April is also a member of the Board of Governors and also the Vice President of Regional Administration of the United States Pony Club.

Senior Loan Officer & Certified Financial Planner:

Jake began originating real estate loans after moving from the Bay Area to Nevada County in 1990.  While living in the Bay Area he had a successful 20-year career building award winning custom homes.  

Jake holds a degree in Business administration from the University of California, has completed the Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning from UC Davis Extension, and has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1980.  He has been an active member of the Nevada County Board of Realtors since 1994, has served on the Board of Directors since 1997 and was President of the Board in 2004.  He currently serves on the Finance, Legislative and Professional Standards Committees.
 
Jake is active in various community activities; board member and past president of KVIE 88.9 Community Radio, member of the Nevada City and Grass Valley Chambers of Commerce and a 10 year member of the Rotary Club of Grass Valley.

Tom is a Loan Consultant with over 21 years experience in the real estate industry and 13 years experience in the mortgage lending business. Tom’s expertise is educating his clients on their options and helping them find the BEST solution for their financial needs.

It's always a good feeling to help people find a loan that will enable them to reach their housing goals, whether that means buying a home, lowering their current rate or payment, or using their equity to finance other goals. One of his favorite scenarios is helping someone buy their first home - sharing in their excitement while doing his part to make the transaction as stress-free as possible.

Tom holds a BA in Social Services and Psychology.  He received the American Pacific Mortgage Top Producer award for 2004 and 2006 and the Nevada County Association of Realtors Affiliate of the Year Award in 1997.  He is a 2009 graduate of the Nevada County Community Leadership Institute, and is a member of the Nevada County Association of Realtors, the Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Masons, the Gold Country Estate Planning Council, the Grass Valley Downtown Association’s Design Review Committee, CAMB and NAMB.  Tom is an active white water rafting guide and enjoys horseback riding and classic autos.

Most of Tom’s business comes from referrals and repeat clients.  This is a testament to the caring and helpful manner in which he assists his clients. His goal as the Falcon Financial Team is to continue to provide personal and professional service that his clients expect and deserve.  He continues to strive in finding ways to improve upon that service.

Loan Officer/Processor:

Suzi is well versed in many loan products ensuring that client's receive the best possible loan for their needs.

Suzi also acts as assistant to April Smith, the Branch Manager. Her dual role as a producing loan officer and loan assistant gives her a greater knowledge of the business.  Suzi's reputation for exceptional service and a wonderful attitude is one of her strongest assets.

Suzi comes from a large local family and was born and raised right here in Grass Valley. In addition to her work she is a huge supporter of her two children’s schools, this year she is president of her daughters schools Parent Teacher Club.

She brings to us a “can do” attitude and will always greet you with a smile.
